Nikumeshi Okamoto launches limited-time beef misuji bowl in Tokyo
Nikumeshi Okamoto, a meat specialty restaurant operated by Tobira Dining, has launched a limited-time ‘Beef Misuji Bowl’ at its Shimbashi and Okachimachi locations in Tokyo. The menu item features misuji, a rare cut of beef known for its balance of lean meat flavor and sweet fat, which is only available in small quantities from a single cow.
The beef is simmered slowly using the restaurant’s special warishita and secret kaeshi sauce to achieve a soft, melt-in-the-mouth texture. The bowl is priced at 979 yen for dine-in and 961 yen for takeout bento boxes. Customers can opt for a 1.5-fold increase in meat portion for an additional fee (330 yen for dine-in or 324 yen for takeout).
