Nilam Sari expands BRILink Agent network to 15 outlets in Medan

Nilam Sari has expanded her business from a hardware and LPG shop into a network of 15 BRILink Agent outlets located in the plantation and industrial areas of Medan, North Sumatra.

Starting in 2014, the business initially offered basic services like electricity payments and credit installments to existing customers. Due to increasing community demand, the operation now processes thousands of transactions per month, including cash deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and social assistance disbursements.

The growth of these outlets has been driven by a shift in local wage payment systems; plantation workers who previously received cash through foremen are increasingly utilizing banking services, raising the demand for cash withdrawal points. The outlets operate from 07:00 to 23:00, serving as an alternative to traditional bank branches and ATMs.
