Nilüfer City Council Women's Assembly announces 2026-2027 projects

The Nilüfer City Council Women's Assembly has announced its roadmap for the 2026-2027 term, introducing several new field projects aimed at urban engagement and solidarity. Key initiatives include neighborhood meetings, the distribution of disaster kits, and the establishment of intercity solidarity bridges.

During the launch meeting, Nilüfer Deputy Mayor Emre Karagöz emphasized the municipality's commitment to supporting women's movements in building an equal city. Mustafa Berkay Aydın, President of the Nilüfer City Council, noted that academics from Bursa Uludağ University will provide multidisciplinary support in fields such as agriculture, engineering, sports, and social sciences.

Women's Assembly President Tülin Demir stated that the organization aims to ensure all women can participate in urban management processes regardless of background. The assembly also plans to launch the ‘Microphone My Sister’ initiative to listen to women in both rural and central neighborhoods, alongside mentorship programs with organizations such as the Şırnak Women and Children Empowerment Association.
