Nilüfer Mayor Şadi Özdemir Hosts Community Gathering in Beşevler

Mayor Şadi Özdemir and his wife, together with municipal officials, held a “Şadi Başkan’la Akşam Çayı” meeting in the Beşevler neighbourhood of Nilüfer, Bursa, after similar sessions in Odunluk and İhsaniye. The gathering took place at Gonca Park and the nearby running track and was attended by residents, Beşevler muhtar Erol Yılmazer, and various council members.

In his remarks, Özdemir stressed the municipality’s budget discipline, reminding citizens that “the budget is your money” and urging them to voice requests, saying “you are the boss.” He said the city aims to distribute services fairly across its 64 neighbourhoods and described ongoing projects such as the “Nilüfer Her Yerde” app, “Asphalt Doctor,” “Anne Taxi,” “Nilüfer 95,” education and food support, health and care services, the Nilüfer City Restaurant and “Kantin Nilüfer.” The mayor framed the visits as a way to practice participatory governance despite limited resources.
