Nilüfer Municipality Hosts Youth Social Entrepreneurship Summer Camp

The Nilüfer municipality organized the "Nilüfer Sustainable Future Youth Summer Camps" program, with the second edition focusing on social entrepreneurship held from July 22‑26 at the Fadıllı Aviation and Nature Sports Center. The five‑day camp brought together 27 participants aged 18‑26, who worked through problem identification, field research, needs analysis, idea development, social‑business modeling, revenue planning, sustainability, and impact measurement.

Mayor Şadi Özdemir visited the camp, stressing the importance of nurturing young talent for a better Turkey and confirming that thematic youth camps will continue. Speakers from local NGOs, including Bir Bulut Olsam Derneği and Alternatif Yaşam Derneği, shared experiences, and the participants culminated the program by launching a joint social‑enterprise project.

The camp concluded the second installment of a six‑camp summer series. Additional camps covering culture‑art, artificial intelligence, software development, and inclusive programs for disabled youth are scheduled through September, with applications advertised via partner social‑media channels.
