Nilüfer Municipality opens monument honoring 103 martyrs
Nilüfer Municipality has inaugurated the Martyrs' Monument and Nilüfer Martyrs' Park to honor 103 individuals who died for the country. The opening ceremony took place on August 30, coinciding with Victory Day.
The monument incorporates digital features, including QR codes that allow visitors to access detailed biographical information about each martyr. Additionally, a digital memorial book has been integrated to allow citizens to share their thoughts and memories.
The project was funded by donor Mehmet Baştuğ Çakırcalı and his family. The opening ceremony was attended by local officials, including Nilüfer Mayor Şadi Özdemir, as well as various political figures, military officials, and representatives from civil society organizations. The Bursa Motorcyclists Association also participated in a procession to pay respects.
