NiMet forecasts thunderstorms and rain across Nigeria

The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has issued weather forecasts predicting several days of cloudy skies, thunderstorms, and varying levels of rainfall across Nigeria.

In the northern region, NiMet anticipates thunderstorms accompanied by light to moderate rains. Specific states expected to experience these conditions include Taraba, Kebbi, Borno, Yobe, Bauchi, Sokoto, Katsina, Zamfara, Jigawa, Kano, Kaduna, and Adamawa.

The North-Central region is expected to see thunderstorms and light to moderate rains, particularly affecting the Federal Capital Territory, Nasarawa, Niger, Benue, Plateau, Kogi, and Kwara states.

In the southern region, the agency forecasts cloudy skies with prospects of morning and afternoon rains. Affected areas include Lagos, Ondo, Ogun, Oyo, Rivers, Bayelsa, Delta, Edo, Cross River, Abia, Imo, Ebonyi, Akwa Ibom, and Enugu states.
