Nina Dobrev and Paul Wesley reunite for Hulu drama “You Deserve to Know”

Actors Nina Dobrev and Paul Wesley, who starred together on The Vampire Diaries (2009‑2017), are set to appear together again in the upcoming Hulu series “You Deserve to Know.” The show adapts Aggie Blum Thompson’s 2025 novel and follows three suburban couples who are next‑door neighbors; a husband’s murder triggers a cascade of secrets that shatter their friendships. Dobrev will play Gwen and Wesley will play Scott, two neighbors who find themselves on opposite sides of the murder investigation. Both will also serve as executive producers.

The adaptation is being written by Brian Tanen (Grand Hotel) and is produced by Alex Cooper’s Unwell and Aaron Kaplan’s Kapital Entertainment, alongside 20th Television. The project landed at Hulu after a competitive bidding process. Production details indicate the series is still in development with no premiere date announced, though a Brazilian release is planned on Disney+.

The reunion marks the first on‑screen collaboration between Dobrev and Wesley since The Vampire Diaries finale, and the involvement of high‑profile producers such as Cooper adds additional industry interest to the project.
