Nina Koppang returns to Swedish handball club IK Sävehof

Swedish international right back Nina Koppang has rejoined IK Sävehof on a contract running to 2028, ending a career pause taken for personal reasons. Koppang originally played for the club from 2018 to 2024, winning three consecutive Swedish championships and being named the league’s Right‑Back of the Year in 2024. She then moved abroad to Norway’s Vipers Kristiansand and later to Denmark’s Team Esbjerg before deciding to step away from the sport temporarily.

The club announced that Koppang will return to Partille Arena with immediate effect, citing her extensive experience from 50 national team caps and 87 goals. Sports director Jonathan Stenbäcken called her a major reinforcement, while head coach Bella Gulldén highlighted her readiness to contribute to new successes. Sävehof also introduced new goalkeeper Victoria Solli Berg, who joins from Västerås‑Irsta HF.
