Culiacán Valle Alto weapon seizure nine detained stolen vehicles

Security forces in Culiacán, Sinaloa, carried out an operation in the Valle Alto neighbourhood after a 911 tip about armed individuals. The action involved the state police’s special operations unit, the Mexican Army, the National Guard, the Navy, and both federal and state prosecutors.

Nine people were detained, including two minors. Authorities seized long‑guns, ammunition, tactical gear, ballistic plates and two vehicles reported stolen. Several detainees were injured while fleeing, with two suffering fractures; they received medical treatment.

All suspects, seized weapons, equipment and vehicles were turned over to the Federal Attorney General’s Office for further investigation.
