Nine people killed in Kosovo traffic accidents over seven days

A week of serious road incidents in Kosovo resulted in nine fatalities. The deadliest crash occurred in North Macedonia, where three Kosovar citizens died. Additional deaths were recorded in Istog (two people), near Komorë (one person), Shiroka e Suharekës (a 52‑year‑old driver), Mitrovica (a woman) and Vushtrri (a woman).

Investigations suggest many crashes involved speeding, reckless driving and possible intoxication. The Kosovo Prosecutor's Office has opened inquiries into suspected drivers, and police have repeatedly urged motorists to observe speed limits and avoid dangerous behavior.
