Niners Chemnitz and Syntainics MBC advance in BBL-Pokal

In the BBL-Pokal basketball tournament, Niners Chemnitz and Syntainics MBC have both secured spots in the round of 16.

Niners Chemnitz narrowly defeated second-division side Gießen 46ers with a score of 77-70. Despite a slow start and a halftime deficit of 39-48, the team improved their defensive aggression in the second half. Cobe Williams and Stefan Smith led the scoring with 24 and 22 points, respectively. The Niners will face Löwen Braunschweig in the next round.

Syntainics MBC also advanced to the next round following a victory against BG Göttingen.
