Foreign striker Lucao do Break (also referred to as Lucas Vinicius) was voted Player of the Month. These accolades follow an impressive start for Ninh Binh, who maintained strong form and secured six points from two matches in September despite the absence of midfielder Nguyen Hoang Duc due to injury.

In other league developments, Nam Dinh achieved a 4-0 victory against Dong Nai in round 5. Following this heavy defeat, Dong Nai head coach Nguyen Viet Thang indicated he may step down to allow for team renewal. Meanwhile, Ha Tinh secured a 2-1 win over Hai Phong with a decisive goal in the 89th minute.
