Ninh Binh fishing boats catch fire at Hong Anh port

Three fishing boats caught fire in the early hours of August 14 at the Hong Anh fishing port in Rang Dong commune, Ninh Binh province. The incident was reported to the Ninh Binh Border Guard at approximately 2:45 AM.

The affected vessels include TH-90399-TS, TH-90398-TS, and TH-90256-TS. Emergency responders, including Border Guard Squadron 2 and Border Guard Group 38, utilized high-pressure water pumps and boats to combat the flames and prevent the fire from spreading to nearby vessels.

The fire was fully extinguished by 6:50 AM. Authorities have towed two of the vessels to a safe mooring area, while one remains grounded near the Ninh Co channel. Officials are currently investigating the cause of the fire and monitoring the area for potential oil spills to protect the environment.
