Ninh Binh police alert users to iCloud takeover scams via Free Fire

The Criminal Investigation Department of Ninh Binh provincial police is investigating a series of illegal intrusions into personal electronic devices that began in January 2026. The suspects use the online game Free Fire to approach victims, promising paid "farm‑hire" work and then directing them to log into specific iCloud accounts on high‑end iPhones.

Victims who log in see their devices remotely accessed, controlled, and ultimately locked or wiped, causing total loss of access. Police have listed the characteristic iCloud usernames involved and are urging anyone who has been victimised to contact the Ninh Binh Criminal Investigation Office at the address and phone number provided.
