Ninh Binh police crack down on illegal mineral mining
The Ninh Binh Provincial Police have launched a coordinated campaign to prevent and strictly handle illegal activities related to the mining, transportation, storage, and consumption of construction and land-filling minerals. The directive aims to address risks such as unauthorized extraction, mining beyond licensed boundaries, and the movement of minerals without legal origins.
Law enforcement agencies are focusing surveillance on key river routes, including the Red, Day, Hoang Long, and Chau Giang rivers. Additionally, authorities are monitoring specific areas prone to violations, such as Tam Diep, Nho Quan, and Thanh Lam. A primary focus of the crackdown is to prevent the exploitation of dredging and waterway clearing activities to conduct illegal mineral extraction, which threatens natural resources, the environment, and local security.
