Ninh Binh police detain Nguyen Van Thang for public disorder

Ninh Binh provincial police have officially prosecuted and detained Nguyen Van Thang, known as Thang ‘At’, on charges of causing public disorder. The legal action follows an incident on September 28, 2026, in the Trang An Landscape Complex area.

According to investigators, Thang used a mobile phone to livestream content that included offensive language, incitement, and insults directed at citizens, which violated local customs and social ethics. The incident, which took place near the Cuong De restaurant, involved a confrontation with a restaurant employee, Duong Van Hung, who reportedly chased Thang with a bamboo pipe after being provoked.

The livestreamed footage gained significant attention on social media, causing public outcry and negatively impacting the local tourism image and social order. Authorities are continuing to expand the investigation to clarify all related details.
