Ninh Binh police prosecute six for illegal weapons possession

The Ninh Binh Provincial Police Security Investigation Agency has prosecuted six individuals for the illegal possession of military-grade weapons. This action is part of an expanded investigation into a larger case involving the manufacturing, possession, and illegal trading of weapons in Xuan Truong commune, Ninh Binh province.

According to investigators, the group used social media to purchase compressed air guns and thousands of lead bullets, which they subsequently hid at their residences. Initial investigations and testimonies indicate the weapons were intended for animal hunting. Authorities seized six air guns and thousands of bullets, which forensic examinations confirmed are classified as military-grade weapons under current law.
