Ninh Binh police summon three youths over disrespectful Veterans' Day video

On July 27, three young men recorded and posted a short video that mocked a segment of the televised program "Sao sáng dẫn đường – Hành trình tìm kiếm, quy tập hài cốt liệt sĩ" on Vietnam's Veterans' Day. The clip, posted on social media, featured crude language and gestures that were deemed disrespectful to the honored heroes.

The Ninh Binh Provincial Police’s Cyber‑Security and High‑Technology Crime Prevention Department (PA05) summoned the three individuals—identified as L.N.L. (born 2004, Duy Tiên, Ninh Bình), T.T.H. (born 2004, Hoàng Mai, Hanoi) and V.C.G.B. (born 2007, Hai Bà Trưng, Hanoi)—for questioning. They admitted the video was recorded spontaneously during a private ceremony, uploaded without prior planning, and later removed after public criticism. Police continue to investigate and will determine any legal consequences.
