Ninja introduces glass-based air fryers to address PFAS concerns
Ninja is positioning new air fryer models, such as the CRISPi DualZone, to address growing consumer concerns regarding PFAS and toxic non-stick coatings. By utilizing borosilicate glass baskets instead of traditional PTFE or Teflon-style linings, these appliances aim to provide a safer cooking alternative for users wary of ‘forever chemicals’ and scratched surfaces.
The DualZone models feature dual 3.8-liter drawers and include various cooking modes and smart functions like ‘Smart Finish’ and ‘Match Cook’. While the glass design offers a PFAS-free solution, the physical footprint of the glass containers may present different spatial considerations for users compared to standard non-stick models.
