Ninja JaJaMaru: Yokai Night Parade announced for 2027

City Connection and Clear River Games have announced Ninja JaJaMaru: Yokai Night Parade, a new hack-and-slash action RPG celebrating the 40th anniversary of the Ninja JaJaMaru series. The game is scheduled for release in 2027 on Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, and PC via Steam.

Set in a world blending traditional Japanese folklore with 90s hip-hop and street culture, the story follows JaJaMaru as he attempts to rescue Princess Sakura from an otherworldly dungeon. Players will navigate various environments, including factories, hot springs, and snowy mountains, while battling hordes of yokai.

Key gameplay features include a system with over 300 pieces of equipment, such as ninja swords and shurikens, and the ability to master nine different Ninpo special techniques. The game also introduces “Yokai Night Parade” challenges triggered by glowing torii gates, offering unique combat rules and rewards. Players can also decorate a home base to gain attribute bonuses.
