Ninjala 2: The Uncharted Planet announced as open-world sequel

GungHo Online Entertainment has revealed new details regarding Ninjala 2: The Uncharted Planet, an upcoming title for the Nintendo Switch 2. Moving away from the original's format, the sequel will transition into a cooperative PvE open-world adventure.

Producer Motoki Kaneda explained that the shift in genre was motivated by a desire to expand the Ninjala intellectual property and respond to player feedback requesting a more relaxed, cooperative experience. Unlike the first installment, the new game will remove gacha elements to provide a more traditional gaming experience.

The project is planned as two separate, full-length games that will feature a single, continuous narrative. Gameplay will focus on maintaining the series' signature fast-paced movement, utilizing tools like ropes, rails, and trampolines to navigate the open world.
