NINKU manga series on sale ahead of NARUTO collaboration anime

The manga series ‘NINKU’, which served as the inspiration for Masashi Kishimoto’s ‘NARUTO’, is currently featured in a Kindle sale with all volumes priced at 100 yen each. Kishimoto has stated that ‘NARUTO’ was created out of a desire to see a continuation of the ‘NINKU’ story.

In addition to the sale, a new four-episode anime collaboration titled ‘NARUTO x NINKU’ has been announced for release in October 2026. The project was proposed by Kishimoto and involves direct cooperation from ‘NINKU’ creator Koji Kiriyama. Both authors will supervise the production. The new animation will feature Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura encountering the character Kazuke in another world.
