Italian music festivals conclude summer seasons with jazz performances

Various musical festivals and cultural series are concluding their summer editions across Italy.

In Alghero, the JazzAlguer festival features Nino Buonocore in his “In Jazz 6tet” project. Performing at Lo Quarter on August 29, Buonocore revisits his extensive career through a jazz lens alongside musicians Alfonso Deidda, Antonio De Luise, Amedeo Ariano, and special guests Max Ionata and Flavio Boltro.

The Peperoncino Jazz Festival is entering its final stages in Calabria. Scheduled performances include Giorgio Conte at San Vincenzo La Costa on August 28, accompanied by his trio, and Eddie Gomez in San Fili on August 29.

In Campobasso, the “Musica in Città” series concludes at Villa De Capoa with a performance by the Jazz Legacy Quartet featuring vocalist Cinzia Tedesco. Meanwhile, the Elementi festival wraps up in Cervia with a site-specific sunset performance by Agua Viva, the multidisciplinary project of Argentine musician Josi Arias.

Additionally, the “Echi di fine anno” series, organized by the “Stanislao Giacomantonio” Conservatory, will bring musical performances to various historical sites in Cosenza from September 7 through October.
