Nino de Angelo announces potential retirement from music career

German Schlager singer Nino de Angelo has indicated that he plans to retire from the stage within the next two to three years. The 62-year-old artist, known for his hit ‘Jenseits von Eden’, expressed his intentions during the ‘Starnacht aus der Wachau’ event and in subsequent interviews.

De Angelo stated that he intends to stop performing by the age of 66 at the latest, noting that he has achieved his professional goals and wishes to focus on living his life. He mentioned the need to ‘strike while the iron is hot’ due to the fast-paced nature of the modern music industry, having released four albums and performed over 70 concerts in the last six years.

While he continues to perform, such as his recent collaboration with Marina Marx, he described the feeling of being near the end of his career. He reflected on his reputation as a ‘rebel’ in the industry, noting that his non-conformist attitude and personal struggles have shaped his career.
