Nintendo Switch Online adds five classic Game Boy titles in July 2026 update

Nintendo announced that the July 8 2026 update to Nintendo Switch Online will add five retro games. The standard Switch Online service receives three Game Boy titles – Wario Land: Super Mario Land 3, Fortified Zone and The Sword of Hope II – while the Switch Online + Expansion Pack adds two Game Boy Advance titles, the Dr. Mario & Puzzle League double‑pack and Tomato Adventure (the latter initially limited to Japan).

Subscribers can access the Game Boy titles with a regular Switch Online membership, whereas the Game Boy Advance titles require the Expansion Pack. The additions expand the library of classic handheld games available on both the original Switch and the forthcoming Switch 2 console.
