Nintendo adds Xenosaga character MOMO to Xenoblade Chronicles 2 Switch 2 Edition

MOMO Mizrahi, a synthetic‑human protagonist from the Xenosaga series, is confirmed as a new Rare Blade in the upcoming Xenoblade Chronicles 2 Switch 2 Edition, scheduled for release on July 30 2026. The character can switch between light and dark forms and is presented as a “Prototype 100‑Series Realian” within the game, preserving her original identity from Xenosaga while serving a new gameplay role.

Fan speculation has risen after the game's trailer omitted any Bandai Namco Entertainment credits, and Bandai Namco removed Xenosaga licensing information from its Japanese website in late 2025. Some observers suggest Nintendo may have acquired the Xenosaga intellectual property, though neither Nintendo, Monolith Soft nor Bandai Namco has confirmed such a transfer.
