Elden Ring: Tarnished Edition launches on Nintendo Switch 2

FromSoftware and Bandai Namco have released Elden Ring: Tarnished Edition for the Nintendo Switch 2. This version includes the original game along with the Shadow of the Erdtree expansion. The release marks the first time the title is available on a Nintendo platform, offering both docked and handheld play modes.

In addition to the Switch 2 launch, a new content update has been released across all platforms. For existing players on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, this content is available via the Tarnished Pack DLC. New features include two starting classes—the Heavy Knight and the Idus Knight—four new armor sets, and three cosmetic appearance options for the spectral steed, Torrent.

Alongside the content release, FromSoftware issued a significant gameplay balance patch (version 1.17). The update includes various buffs to weapons, shields, and consumable items, such as Perfume Bottles, as well as improvements to parry performance and stability for several shield types.
