Nintendo announces Switch Sports Resort for Switch 2

Nintendo has announced that Nintendo Switch Sports Resort will be released for the Nintendo Switch 2 on 22 October 2026. The title features 12 different sports and activities, utilizing the new Joy-Con 2 controllers for intuitive motion controls.

Set on the explorable Wuhu Island, players can engage in traditional sports such as tennis, volleyball, bowling, golf, basketball, and table tennis. The roster also includes archery, boxing, and thumb wrestling, alongside leisure activities like skateboarding, power cruising, and prop plane flying.

The game introduces an offline Island Crown mode where players can rise through ranks to challenge Island Champions and Legends. Additionally, players can earn Spocco Points through gameplay to customize their Mii characters or Sportsmates. The experience aims to blend physical movement with social play, allowing players to explore the island, search for hidden items, and collect Spocco Photos.
