Nintendo Switch 2 Zelda special edition rumored for 40th anniversary
Multiple leaks from noted Nintendo insiders—including Shpeshal Nick, Necrolipe and Mike Odyssey—suggest that Nintendo is developing a limited‑edition Switch 2 tied to The Legend of Zelda franchise. The hardware is expected to coincide with the series’ 40th anniversary and the upcoming Ocarina of Time remake slated for 2026. While details on a themed console remain vague, a dedicated Pro Controller has been described as predominantly black with green‑tipped grips, gold accents and a central Triforce emblem positioned between the "+" and "‑" buttons. Some sources argue Nintendo may favor a controller‑only edition for better profit margins, but a full console could also be released as part of a bundle. The rumors appear across English, German, Polish, Spanish, Japanese and other language outlets, though Nintendo has not confirmed any plans.
