Nintendo confirms 2026 release for Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake
Nintendo has confirmed that a remake of the Nintendo 64 classic, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, is scheduled for release in 2026. The information was included in the company’s latest first-quarter financial report.
The title is described as being reborn exclusively for the Nintendo Switch 2. While a specific launch date has not been officially announced, the game is currently the only title on Nintendo’s 2026 release list without a designated month. Other upcoming projects mentioned in the report include Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave, set for September 17, and Switch Sports Resort, scheduled for October 22.
Speculation regarding the release window suggests a potential launch in October or November, though no official confirmation exists. The game has already received an ESRB rating of E10+ for “Animated Blood, Fantasy Violence.”
