Nintendo announced a full remake of the 1998 classic *The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time* for the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2, with a planned release in 2026. The announcement follows a leak by retailer GameStop that briefly displayed an August 4 pre‑order date before the information was removed.

Separately, Hasbro revealed a licensing agreement with Nintendo to produce official Zelda action figures. The first three 15‑cm figures are slated for reveal at the San Diego Comic‑Con in July 2026, with a broader toy line expected to launch in 2027. The remake coincides with the franchise’s 40th‑anniversary celebrations.
