Nintendo announces Splatoon Raiders for Switch 2, launching July 23

Nintendo unveiled Splatoon Raiders, a new spin‑off of its Splatoon franchise, during a direct broadcast on 30 May. The game is scheduled for release on 23 July for the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 console.

Splatoon Raiders shifts the series focus to a single‑player adventure with optional local and online co‑op for up to four players. Players assume the role of a mechanic exploring the Spirhalite Islands alongside the Deep Cut trio—Shiver, Frye and Big Man—searching for treasure while battling various Salmonid enemies. The title features over 100 weapon variations, three customizable tank classes (Speed, Power, Tactical), and a suite of gadgets and relics that modify combat.

Additional content includes three difficulty levels (Tourist, Raider, Survivalist), unlockable outfits, and a themed Splatfest tied to Splatoon 3. A daily comic series, “Deep Cut’s Island Misadventures,” will also accompany the launch.
