Nintendo raises Switch 2 prices globally
Nintendo has implemented a price increase for the Switch 2 console across several global markets. In Europe, the manufacturer's recommended retail price has risen from approximately 469.99 euros to 499.99 euros. Other regional increases include a 10% rise in the United States to 499.99 USD, a 5% increase in Canada to 679.99 CAD, and a 20% increase in Japan to 59,980 yen.
Despite these official adjustments, many retailers are not yet following the new pricing. In Europe, several major vendors continue to offer the console for significantly less, with some prices starting around 429 euros. Specifically, certain offers on AliExpress have been noted to bring the price down to approximately 383 euros when using specific discount codes.
A new version of the Switch 2 featuring a removable battery has also been introduced to comply with European Union directives. While the official price for this model is 499 euros, retail availability and promotional discounts continue to create price discrepancies between the manufacturer's official store and third-party sellers.
