Nintendo releases Fire Emblem Banshisenkou for Switch 2

Nintendo has released the simulation RPG ‘Fire Emblem Banshisenkou’ for the Nintendo Switch 2. Set in the Dagdan Empire, the story follows four protagonists—Kai, Dietrich, Theodora, and Leda—as they compete in the Great Gladiatorial Festival. The narrative features a unique time-travel element where a savior uses the power of the goddess Fotona to travel five years into the past to alter the characters' fates.

The game features traditional turn-based combat with five weapon types: swords, spears, axes, bows, and fists. Players can also utilize ‘Blaze Arts,’ special moves that consume HP. Between battles, players engage in training, class changes, scouting, and dungeon exploration.

Upon release, the title has received critical acclaim, earning a Metacritic score of 89. Reviewers have praised its massive scale and ambitious design. The game is available in a standard edition and a premium ‘Dagdan Collection’.
