Nintendo reveals Hyrule world map for Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake

Nintendo has revealed a redesigned world map for the upcoming remake of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, scheduled for release on November 5, 2026, for the Nintendo Switch 2. The new map features a vintage fantasy parchment aesthetic and maintains major landmarks such as Hyrule Castle, Death Mountain, Zora’s Domain, and Gerudo Valley, though it includes minor topographical adjustments and updated minimaps.

The remake promises a comprehensive technical overhaul, including rebuilt models, animations, and enhanced graphical fidelity. New features include a refreshed soundtrack, fully voiced cutscenes, and improved traversal mechanics. While aiming to remain faithful to the original 1998 N64 design, the update introduces subtle changes to locations like Kakariko Village and potentially expanded dungeons.

Pre-order details and bonuses have also surfaced. In the United States, physical copies are being offered at a discounted price of $60 at select retailers. Other regional bonuses include Spiritual Stone replicas in the UK and Europe. The release is part of celebrations for the franchise’s 40th anniversary.
