Nintendo reveals new Ganondorf footage for Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake
Nintendo has released new footage showcasing the character Ganondorf in the upcoming remake of ‘The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time’, scheduled for release on November 5, 2026, for the Nintendo Switch 2.
The new clips, distributed via the Nintendo Today app, provide a detailed look at the villain's updated model and facial animations. While the design remains largely faithful to the original Nintendo 64 version, the remake introduces cinematic changes, such as a slow-motion sequence during the iconic dream encounter.
Beyond character updates, the remake features significant gameplay and technical improvements, including a fully controllable camera, a dedicated jump button, and a continuous day-night cycle. The audio has also been overhauled with an orchestral soundtrack and voiced NPC dialogue in cutscenes. While many fans have praised the visual fidelity, some have expressed mixed reactions regarding the aesthetic of the character models.
