Nintendo Switch 2 Backward Compatibility Update Improves Seven Legacy Titles

Nintendo has issued a June 2026 firmware update for the Switch 2 that expands backward compatibility for original Switch games. The patch resolves issues in seven titles, notably fixing audio glitches in the indie platformer Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove and improving stability for Artifact Seekers, Landing Hero Haneda ×787, Raiden IV x Mikado Remix, Rico, Skateboard Drifting with Maxwell Cat: The Game Simulator and Strania: The Stella Machina EX.

Nintendo also refreshed its list of known problems. Bar Stella Abyss (Japan‑only) still suffers audio errors, and Monster Menu: The Scavenger’s Cookbook may have missing sound effects and voice‑sync issues. The titles Drakkar Crew and Kiyo: Bunny Tyranny remain unsupported on the Switch 2.
