Nintendo Switch 2 launches Digimon RPG demo and Final Fantasy VII Revelation preview

Bandai Namco released a free demo of *Digimon Story: Time Stranger* for both the original Nintendo Switch and the upcoming Switch 2. The demo, which includes the opening chapter and an exploration area, runs smoothly on Switch 2 with sharp graphics and no noticeable stuttering, while the Switch version shows frame‑rate drops in higher graphics modes. The full game is scheduled for release on July 10 for both consoles at a price of $59.99.

Square Enix announced *Final Fantasy VII Revelation* for Switch 2 and all other platforms, slated for a simultaneous launch in Spring 2027. In a Game Informer interview, trilogy director Naoki Hamaguchi addressed fan calls for a *Final Fantasy VI* remake, saying he is interested but believes the project might be better handled by another team within Square Enix.
