Nintendo Switch 2 leads Japanese hardware sales

Japanese hardware and software sales data for the week of September 7 to September 13, 2026, shows the Nintendo Switch 2 leading the market with 28,341 units sold. Other notable hardware performers include the PlayStation 5 Digital Edition with 7,082 units, followed by the Switch Lite at 3,791 units.

In software, Rhythm Heaven Groove ranked first on the Nintendo Switch with 24,756 copies sold. Onimusha: Way of the Sword secured the second position overall, selling 19,654 copies on PlayStation 5 and 7,070 copies on Nintendo Switch 2. Splatoon Raiders followed in third place for the Nintendo Switch 2 with 8,163 units.
