Nintendo Switch 2 receives Witcher 3 update and Riders Republic announcement
CD Projekt Red has released patch 5.01 for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Remastered on the Nintendo Switch 2. The update focuses on improving visual clarity, resolution, and overall performance. Technical fixes include resolving rare crashes during region transitions, correcting HD Rumble issues where vibrations were limited to a single controller, and optimizing cache handling for cross-platform mod support.
The patch also introduces adjustments to Bloom, tone mapping, character lighting, Ray Tracing, and Path Tracing, alongside new graphical options for Light Shafts and Depth of Field. Gameplay and audio improvements were also implemented, such as adjusted dodge responses and fixes for voice-over volume issues.
Separately, Ubisoft has announced that Riders Republic will launch on the Nintendo Switch 2 on December 9, 2026. The multiplayer extreme sports title, which features cycling, skiing, and snowboarding across various American national parks, will include a dedicated offline play mode specifically for the console launch.
