Nintendo Switch 2 sees Minecraft upgrade and PICO PARK technical issues

Nintendo Switch 2 users are seeing both software enhancements and technical issues. Mojang has announced a free upgrade for Minecraft scheduled for release on October 27, 2026. This update is designed to leverage the improved hardware performance of the Switch 2, incorporating the 'Vibrant Visuals' update which features enhanced lighting, shadows, and reflective water effects. The upgrade also includes the 'Mario Mash-Up Pack,' offering a Super Mario-themed world and various skins.

In contrast, the developer TECOPARK has issued a warning to Switch 2 owners regarding the game PICO PARK 1. A technical error, potentially linked to a system update, causes the online multiplayer mode to hang on a white screen. While the issue does not affect the original Nintendo Switch or the sequel PICO PARK 2, the studio has requested a temporary sales halt to prevent further issues while they investigate the cause.
