Nintendo Switch 2 update adds Rhythm Heaven Groove, Oblivion Remastered and new Mario Kart World content

Nintendo announced its latest Nintendo Download update for Switch 2, featuring the return of Rhythm Heaven Groove and the upcoming release of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered, slated for August 11. The update also expands Nintendo Music with new playlists and introduces limited‑time in‑game events.

In parallel, the company released version 1.7.0 of Mario Kart World, adding two new Knockout Tour routes—Drill Rally and Boomerang Rally—and new Photo Mode stickers. The patch also includes gameplay tweaks such as immediate hopping after a Kamek hit and a new ramp from Airship Fortress to Bowser’s Castle. Both updates are available now for Nintendo Switch 2 users.
