Nintendo Switch 2 Zelda 40th Anniversary Edition enters pre-order

Nintendo has released the Legend of Zelda 40th Anniversary Edition of the Switch 2, a limited-edition hardware bundle celebrating the franchise's milestone. The console features a unique aesthetic, including Triforce motifs on the dock and Joy-Cons, along with a black and gold color scheme.

In South Africa, pre-orders for the console, a themed Pro Controller, and a carrying case are now available, with an expected launch date of October 29. The console is priced at R11,999. Due to EU regulations, units distributed in certain regions are expected to feature easily removable battery cells.

Demand for the collector's edition has been high, leading to rapid stock depletion among retailers in France. Nintendo has indicated that restocks are expected. The release of this hardware coincides with the upcoming launch of the Ocarina of Time remake on November 5.
