Nintendo Switch Online price hike in Japan effective July 1

Nintendo announced that all Nintendo Switch Online subscriptions in Japan will increase on July 1. The 12‑month individual plan rises from ¥2,400 to ¥3,000, the one‑month plan from ¥306 to ¥400, and the three‑month plan from ¥815 to ¥1,000. The 12‑month family plan moves from ¥4,500 to ¥5,800, while the Expansion Pack tier also climbs, with the 12‑month individual tier going from ¥4,900 to ¥5,900 and the family tier from ¥8,900 to ¥9,900. Nintendo advises customers to purchase additional usage tickets before the price change; tickets bought by June 30 can be used at the current rates. Users may stock up to a maximum of 1,095 days of service (three 12‑month blocks) but must register each ticket within 150 days of purchase.
