Nintendo Switch Sports Resort launches October 22 for Nintendo Switch 2

Nintendo is releasing Nintendo Switch Sports Resort on October 22, 2026, as an exclusive title for the Nintendo Switch 2. Set on the iconic Wuhu Island, the game features 12 different sports, including returning classics such as tennis, bowling, golf, volleyball, and basketball, alongside new activities like boxing, table tennis, archery, skateboarding, power cruising, and prop plane flying.

The title utilizes the enhanced motion-tracking capabilities and HD Rumble 2 of the Joy-Con 2 controllers. Players can choose between using traditional Mii avatars or the more detailed Sportsmate characters. Gameplay modes include a single-player Island Crown mode, local multiplayer, and online play via a Pro League or a casual mode where wins and losses are not recorded.
