Nintendo Switch Sports Resort launches on Nintendo Switch 2

Nintendo has released Nintendo Switch Sports Resort, an exclusive title for the Nintendo Switch 2. Available as of October 22, 2026, the game brings players back to Wuhu Island with a collection of twelve sporting disciplines.

The lineup includes competitive activities such as boxing, table tennis, archery, tennis, volleyball, bowling, basketball, and golf, alongside the new thumb wrestling mode. For more relaxed gameplay, the title features leisure sports including skateboarding, jet skiing, and propeller plane exploration.

The game utilizes Joy-Con 2 motion controls to simulate various sports equipment. Players can engage in local multiplayer, online casual play, or compete in the Pro League to climb rankings. Additionally, a solo progression mode called Island Crown allows players to face island legends. Players can also collect Spocco Points to unlock cosmetic items like clothing and hairstyles for their Mii or Sportsmate characters.
