Nintendo to launch Switch consoles in Indonesia in December 2026

Nintendo has announced the official launch of the Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 in Indonesia, scheduled for December 2026. This move marks the company's formal entry into Southeast Asia’s largest economy.

Distribution in Indonesia will be managed by Nintendo Singapore in partnership with PT Nusantara Interactive Niaga, a subsidiary of the Salim Group. The Indonesian Ministry of Creative Economy noted that official channels are expected to help combat copyright violations. Additionally, the Salim Group plans to establish official repair centers and customer service facilities to support the new hardware.

The launch will include several key titles, such as Mario Kart World, Pokémon Pokopia, and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition. While the consoles are arriving, the Nintendo eShop is not expected to be available in the Indonesian market at the time of launch.
