Nintendo announces Switch 2 title Nintendo Switch Sports Resort

Nintendo is preparing to release ‘Nintendo Switch Sports Resort’ for the Switch 2, scheduled for October 22. The title serves as a successor to the ‘Wii Sports’ franchise, which has historically sold over 130 million copies across its various iterations.

Set on Wuhu Island, the game features 12 different sporting disciplines, including bowling, archery, tennis, golf, boxing, and basketball. It also includes more unconventional activities such as thumb wrestling. The game utilizes improved motion controls to simulate physical gestures and features enhanced graphics while maintaining a nostalgic feel. Players can create personalized avatars and explore an archipelago of islands in an open-world style environment.
