Nintendo's Zelda Ocarina of Time remake may launch before GTA 6

Nintendo announced a remake of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time for the Switch 2, slated for release sometime in 2026, but it has not confirmed a specific launch date. Fans noticed that Nintendo’s UK online store listed two Kirby Air Riders amiibo sets (Sword Kirby & Dragoon and Noir Dedede & Hydra) with a November 11/12 2026 release date. Because Nintendo historically releases new amiibo on the same day as major first‑party titles, speculation grew that the Zelda remake could arrive on November 11 or 12 2026—about a week before Rockstar Games’ Grand Theft Auto VI, which is scheduled for November 19 2026 on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. Nintendo has not officially confirmed any November release for the remake, and the amiibo listings were later removed from the site. The company’s upcoming Switch 2 lineup already includes Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave (Sept 17), Switch Sports Resort (Oct 22) and Xenoblade Chronicles 3 (Dec 3).
